About Diyara
Diyara is a Kurdish painter based in London. Working primarily in oil on canvas, her practice is colour-led and intuitively figurative — landscapes and figures held together as forms of testimony and memory.

Diyara Ossi is a Kurdish painter living and working in London. She works primarily in oil on canvas across two ongoing bodies of work: Earthspine, which approaches landscape as testimony, and Fleshline, which considers the figure and animal presence as carriers of memory.
Recent exhibitions include Collective Voices, a group exhibition hosted by JustArt Collective at White Space Gallery, Edinburgh (2026), and a group exhibition at Kunstraum, London (2024). Silent Hunter (2025) was included in MEGA 2026, a selected online presentation with Biafarin. Her work in Collective Voices was documented in the accompanying publication by JustArt Newspaper Club (2026).
She writes occasionally about her practice; those texts are published on this site.
